One of our Empower Grant winners, 6th-grade science teacher Kathy Schroedl at Severance Middle School, brings together students in an after-school club known as 'Engineering Brightness'.
Through this club, students gain valuable experience with soldering, engineering, & other STEAM-related skills, all in the name of creating lanterns to send to students over in Malawi. These lanterns will help support students who are in the process of studying for important exams in their academic careers.

I was Deployed, in a peace keeping mission and cross training exchange in Malawi while Active Duty ARMY 1997. Great to see Malawians continue to exchange training.
My husband was an employee of PVREA for over 30 years before retiring in 2014. We have lived, and continue to live in an area where our electricity is provided by PVREA. REA is a member owned cooperative which means that decisions are influenced by what is best for its members rather than by what earns the highest profit for investors. Because REA is member owned, it has a connection with and a commitment to the communities that they serve. The video above is a direct reflection of that commitment and is inspirational on many levels.
Whether it's high-powered winds, a frigid snowstorm, or pouring rain, our Poudre Valley REA crews are there to help get the lights back on & restore power to our members. They are the backbone of our electric cooperative & we're proud of their hard work & commitment in everything that they do.

Since moving rural one thing we have been so impressed with, PVREA. Your workers are amazing, great job and great customer service!
We hope you enjoyed the tunes provided by The The Parlor Pickers! With their combination of old-timey country, rock & roll, blues, & bluegrass, The Parlor Pickers put on a show that certainly got us moving & grooving. Thank you again for attending our Annual Meeting!
